SMOKE - BURNT BOARD - S300

Post by BOOSTEDFERIO »

ever since i rebuilt my engine i have fried two p28 main boards. it is in the analog output section. it is a 3 wire riser type header. the second p28 i just bought from hondata. 400 down the drain! the engine idles fine. green light on. datalogging working. go to accellerate down the road and my computer fills the floorboard with smoke. the s300 worked fine before my engine build. all the same components. my car runs fine with my stock p28 and p08. what the hell is going on! anyone heard of this? anyone know the part of the board i am speaking of? i need to get my car going. thanks

i am running bkr7e plugs set at .35 gap. i also have a full msd ignition system. but both of these were in there before my new motor build. checked all my grounds. the inside of the computer got so hot it left burn marks on both inside covers on both ecu's! how long can i run my stock p08 before i get internal engine problems?

which components on the board are frying? there is a component identifier (usually a letter and numbers).

sounds like there has been some sensors mixed up or bad wiring on the swap. any cel prior and after the ecu fried?
