Question about the gm boost controller with the s300
My tuner and installed the boost controller last week, I am using a greddy turbo kit with an internal wastegate, we were able to get a 7 psi reading with the duty cycle tuned to 0% as soon as we tried to make a pull with any percentage it over boosted, any information would be great. Is this solenoid even capable of running with the greddy kit or is it designed to work with extenal wastegates. Thanks Scott

Let me try to do my best to explain this, my vacuum tee that came with the greddy is at the vacuum source on the back of the intake, that outgoin line then get tee'd into the wastegate, boost guage and boost controller, I think I am stating this right but I will double check in the morning and get back with you. One question I do have is that when you invert the controller in the boost settings do you need to invert the duty cycle percentage as well, i.e 100% being wastegate and lower number being higher boost pressure. I have been reading other posts on these forums that say something on that lines. When we tested it we started at 0 and were trying as small as 1% increases. The help is appreciated and hopefully I can get to the bottom of this.

i was running a greddy sohc kit with the gm boost control, run straight through the line from the manifold to the wastegate, with no tees. solenoid configuration was normally closed, and the settings i were using were as follows:
4psi-2%
5.2psi-5%
7psi-10%
8psi-55%
8.8psi-57%
10psi-68%
i know that the lower boost levels might have been off for my car, but i was running a steady 10psi on a bone stock d16y7 for more than 2 years daily, and this setup was better than all of the other boost controllers i have used before combined, which include an avc-r, profec b, turboxs manual, turbosmart manual, and a brass home depot special. boost never creeped, regardless of conditions, and the car ran very strong all the way until i sold the engine and turbo to a friend.
