D16Y8 Into 95 Civic coupe EX PROBLEMS HELP

I recently swapped a 97 Y8 into a 95 civic coupe EX model. Its running rough and basically doesnt run like it should. I was told i should use the ECU for the Y8 instead of using the P28 that came in the car. Is that true? If so do i need the OBD2 to OBD1 adapter? If not any ideas on what could be wrong?, and how to fix it.

Please hook me up with any tips that may get this POS running again.

yea, you need to run a p2p ecu with a obd1 > obd2 harness
