Boost control and co2?
Boost control and co2?
can you use a co2 pressure source with the hondata boost controller? this is for a drag only app would that give the solenoid a broader controllable boost pressure?
CO2 is an awesome way to control the boost for you. Say you are at a high density altitude track, and the conditions are not very good (weather i.e.) you do a run look at the log and see you only made 65% of total target boost. Well let's just say that 65% was 23PSI and your target is 35PSI. Now you can use the CO2 to keep those wastegates where you want them, so that you can make that target boost. It also allows you to run more boost pressure on a smaller base spring. Rule of thumb is 2 times the base spring (so if you had a 10lb. spring the most you could typically go is 20lbs. before you start seeing an issue with boost holding for you). Once again the CO2 can be regulated out to hold that pressure for you. No more having to open the wastegates and change springs.
