Another stupid Question

I've pulled out the socket of the IACV while engine is still running, so the CEL came on. Plugged the socket back to the IACV and the CEL went off. Problem is, I do not have a laptop and my tuner is away. If I do not clear away the error code/DTC/trouble code, will it affect anything?

unplug the ecu and plug it back in, the code will go away unless there is some other problem.
