Idle Woes

Post by d4nvu »

Recently my car has been having problems staying alive. When I say that i mean that it has been stalling a lot. When I come to a stop, my RPM's drop and and just stalls. If I give it a slight tap on the gas, it will stay alive. When I'm cruising and throw it into neautral, it will die as well, unless I keep my foot on the gas. When I first start the car everything runs fine, and holds idle at 1200, but when the car warms up, the problems start. What could be my problem?

I've checked for vacuum leaks, and couldn't find any. Checked the spark plugs and they're fine. This all started when I had a stock airbox, for a little while, unplugged the air temp sensor, and threw a CEL. (My Air temp sensor isn't plugged in, because I have a base harness and it doesn't reach the Type-S airbox.) I put it back on and it went away, but the idle problems started the next day. I haven't touched anything on the car for a while. Currently it has a Type-s coldair on, but the air temp sensor still isn't on, because I haven't extended the wires yet. But that couldn't be the problem...

One more thing is when I'm on the gas and cruising KPRO reads my inj and duty cycle, but once I let my foot off the gas, it reads 0.00 for both. Is that normal?

My mod list is below:

Engine K20A3

You must fix the IAT before doing anything else.

Problem solved, it was the IAT. Thank you. I'll make sure to follow the posting rules next time!
