install question on JSRC HONDATA ECU KIT
install question on JSRC HONDATA ECU KIT
hi,
i have a b16a3 delsol and i just recieved my jrsc hondata ecu kit i have serveral question on the install,
1. the clips for the RC injectors are not polarize, the two wires are just plan black! does it matter how i connect those up to my stock injector wires?
2. the instrutions says
"Remove the rising rate fuel regulator and either reinstall the stock regulator or a 1:1 rising rate regulator."
- does that mean i just remove the FMU(silver spaceship)?
- i did not have to remove my stock fuel pressure regulator when i installed my JRSC kit -so what do they mean by "reinstall"? so i did not remove the FPR so just remove the FMU, right?
-or do i have to buy a 1:1 FMU and replace the current FMU which is after the stock FPR?
thanks

okie thanks!
i also have a walbro high fuel pump, was this kit optimise on the stock fuel pump? is my walbro delivering too much fuel?
i got it all installed then i go to hook up the laptop and connect to the ecu but it says that i dont have hondalogger enabled so it wont show me anything! i dont want to log - i just want to see whats going on - see rather its reading the correct rpm, tps, ect... i cant do this without paying for hondalogger? if not then what use is the laptop then-what can i do with the laptop without paying for more hondata stuff?
thanks

what should my idle fuel pressure be? i have reading ~50psi at idle. i have a walbro 255 i think. dont remember extacly.
the reason i am asking is that i went to the track this past weekend and i lost .5sec! i was running 14.3sec @ 99mph now i am running 14.7sec @ 94mph. and i thought i was goign to be in the 13sec! arg
i know that track condition was not exactly the same but it very much so, 75degree, 63 humidty, when i ran 14.3sec my 60ft was 2.3sec and trap was 99mph, now with this JR TUNNED HONDATA i ran 14.7sec with 60ft of 2.3sec and trap of 94mph.
the ONLY other mod i installed was a MUGEN TWIN LOOP exhuast.
some other poeple are thinking its no my mugen exhuast but more so my hondata is not "TUNED for my car" but i thought when i paid this much for TUNED MAPs i would be better off than i was, but i am worst off.
please help me diagnose this, i am not a happy camper

i hear u,Spunkster wrote:The track is not a good way to measure changes. You need to a before and after dyno run to really see performance gains.
Having more power does not always mean faster times.....you may have more wheel spin now that you have more power...all things to take into consideration.
but what should my idle fuel pressure be? i have reading ~50psi at idle with a walbro 255 fuel pump. should it be 45psi at idle?
