Hondata/Spunkster:

-S300 w/OBD2A-OBD1 adapter harness
I hooked my s300 on the car to try the performance of stock keihin 240cc injectors vs. SL4-370-M RC injectors offered by a friend..the car was running well on the modified stock basemap on the Keihin squirters..But a couple of minutes after the RC 370's were installed and some revs after, the engine started misfiring;sounded like there are only two cylinders firing..doubted the condition of the RC's, I replaced the Keihin 240's back to isolate the problem..Unfortunately, the misfire was still there..datalogged and found no error codes..I tried to remove each injector socket while the engine was running and found that injectors 2&4 were not firing..the RC SL4-370-M injector had 17ohms resistance across..did I damage something in the ecu(e.g.injector driver)?I'm in shock!
Injector problem: attn:Hondata/Spunkster
More likely it is the adapter harness or a wiring connection. Is the adapter built in or seperate? In any case, open the help SManager, find the wiring diagram under reference, then locate the injector output pins on the ECU (they are A1,A2,A3,A5). Check continunity between the pin in the ECU and the injector connector.

Hondata: Everything is intact;harness and adapter..just found the problem today-fouled spark plugs! whew!..the plugs fouled thru time when I revved it up couple of times without adjusting the new injector size(210cc to 370cc) in the fuel trim parameters..thus it squirted a lot of fuel in the process..It really doesn't pay to panic! LOL! by the way, what does the "M" in the RC injector part#SL4-370-M? does it say its for Mitsubishi?the injector has a guide in the middle which I have to slice out to make the Honda sockets fit..I checked the sockets on my MitsuEVO and found that the RCinjector fits perfectly.also, what's the performance difference of an injector having 12.5ohms and 17ohms resistance?thank you very much for your time..
