Help with installing shift light.. Need pin numbers...
I'm trying to install the shift light on my 93 Civic EX with the S200. I know that you have to connect two wires to the ecu going to the LED. Which wires are they? I don't have a diagram with all the pin numbers, does anyone have this information? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The shift light connects to the external interface box, not to the ECU itself.

No, the buttom to set the shift light connects to the external piggy back computer. If you read the manual, you have to tap into some ECU cables in order to make an LED light up as a shift light with the Check engine light.
My apologies, you are correct - I was thinking of the switch, not the LED, which just piggybacks off the CEL.
For the shift light on an OBD-I ECU, you want pin A13 for ground, and A25 for signal. Hondata recommends wiring a 470 ohm resistor in series with the LED.
FYI, you can find the information you need in the installation guide for the S200. The install guide should have come on your software CD, or you can download it from Hondata's web site.

Thanks for the help. I already installed the buttom and have installed the LED. The LED goes into pin 13 and 25. My question was regarding on how to find which pin is wich or pin out of the ECU. I was able to find it in the website. Now that I have everything connected, I need help on setting the shift light. I have read the instructions on the manual, went to the shop that installed it and we couldn't get it to work. We tried and tried and the shift light alwasy comes on at 2000 rpm. Can someone help me out here. I even called customer service at Hondata and they were to no use. They really pissed me off because he kept saying to read the damn manual. I wouldn't have called them if I had not read the manual first. I thought they were suppose to have good customer service? Well, can some one please post the steps on setting the shift light? I tried the reving method and this is what I did.
1. Pushed the buttom four times.
- The buttoms keeps flashing four times
2. Bring the RPM to half of the desired amount of shift light engation.
3. Press the brake.
I rev the car and the shift light flashes at 2000 rpm every time.
The one thing that I notice is that when I press the brake, after setting it, the chenck engine light won't go off untill the RPMs go below 2000 rpm. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
