before i installed my hondata i was running the pw0 on my b16 in my crx..i had about a few codes: vss, iacv, tps, eacv, some others.. then i installed the s300 on a p28 and now i have vss, knock sensor, and eld codes.. i turned the knock and eld sensors off so now i only have vss but why would each ecu throw completely different codes?

and 2.. since i installed it, i got it idleing fine and a few little things.. but if im cruising on the highway at partial throttle it like hesitates if i lightly give it gas.. if i hold it at a light constistant increase in the throttle it does that, and only sometimes.. any idea what that could be? wot is fine and normal driving through the gears is fine, but if im just cruising itll do it in anygear between like 2 and 4k rpms, maybe it does it past 4k but i dont really cruise past that

It sounds like this car has some wiring problems. The knock is because you don't have an ecu with a knock board. You car probably does not have an ELD. The VSS seems to be either a wiring problem, or a mechanical issue. Follow the Helms manual for troubleshooting the VSS error.

Has this car been tuned on the dyno?

yea i know why its causing the vss..am i safe with disabling the knock and eld sensors?

no the car has not been tuned at all, i just farted around with vtec and the idling so far.. i was gonna wait till my turbo was on to tune it. WHich should be a week or two..

Have you switched to a 4 wire heated O2 sensor? The PW0 is designed to run the 1 wire O2 sensor, and the P28 wants a 4 wire heated sensor. Is your sensor brand new, or in good condition? Those symptoms sound like an O2 sensor that is not functioning correctly. They sometimes fail, or go outside of the normal operating range without setting a code. Also, be sure the correct wires are used for the sensor. The OBD0 PWO ECU actually uses 2 O2 sensors, and the wires are obviously in 2 different places in the wiring harness, and the ECU plugs. Make sure the wire that the sensor is connected to goes to the correct place in the ECU connector.
