K20aR IPS K2 Calibration for my setup

Post by bricarri »

Hi there,
I am from the country of Barbados, a small island in the Caribbean and I have a K-Swapped EG Civic. Unfortunately, now that I have gotten my K-Pro and my new IPS K2 8620 billet cams and would like to change the Vtec point and tune VTC, I am unable to do so because there is no dyno here in the country. Therefore, I am requesting a calibration/map for my setup which would only require a street tune for A/F and ignition timing if necessary. My main focus is just to get a map specific to the tunning of the cam angles, which would effetively fine-tne the Vtec engagement as well as the VTC. If the map works well for my application, I will paypal the person some money if they want. Thanks for your help in advance. My setup is as follows:

K20aR
R-Crew 4-2-1 header
IPS K2 8620 with Supertech Valvetrain
PRC manifold
RDX injectors
K&N Short Ram (CAI soon)
Custom 2.5 exhaust
K-Pro

did you get anything yet?
not sure why you installed rdx injectors, certainly no needed. the stock injectors have plenty of capacity and probably no one has done any dyno testing with them. i think hondata did some bench testing and they came up with 410cc. but again, why for an n/a car?....

I still don't have a map to tune around. The guys on the K20a.org forums suggested I get the RDX's for better atomisation.

this is true

RC tell that RDX injectors are better than their own injectors for stock intake manifold

What are you talking about? The guy has IPS cams, they will push the stock 310s to 96% or greater duty cycle. The RDX injectors are a great and cheap replacement. Another option that wish I would of taken instead of thinking long term, was go with the 380 PE injectors instead of the 510 PE. They were the same price, but I knew I would never go FI, but I went with them anyways.
