How different from the stockP74 map would this setup be?

Post by TurboLS »

I just rebuilt the B18B1 engine to the following specs:

81.25mm bore
B16A pistons (OE O/S)
LS rods, crank
ARP studs/bolts (not like they'll affect AFR...)
Block decked .005"

I calculated the compression ratio to be about 11.5:1 static. I am wondering if I would need to deviate a ton from the basemap as I am still running stock LS cams/valvetrain. Since the only change in air flow will be the compression ratio, would fuel be altered all that much??

Also, any tips on high compression ignition? especially for WOT??

Alright, well the rings are still sealing, but at 225psi across all cylinders, I have about 140HP/125TQ and that is a mild street tune.

I am hoping to back off the ignition at high load as well as richen up the top end as well.
