i have an update for you guys. i have since bought an acura RSX Type-s engine harness and swapped out the Si Harness. hooked everything back up and the car still did not start...

i checked all fuses, all wires, all grounds. i am not getting spark in Cylinders 3 & 4. i checked that by pulling out the coil packs and plugs and testing it that way. i borrowed 2 known good ones and still had no spark. i have fuel because the plugs smelled like gas...

would i need to check anything on kpro that may deal with spark?

thanks

Have you tried your ecu in another vehicle?

lets say i did try it and it did start up - that knocks out the ecu - then where do i go? now, lets say that it didn't start - would this be another ecu failure? if so, where do i go again?

well, the car is in a shop right now and hopefully they will figure this out.

Hondata and/or Spunkster - i talked to a couple of people about my issue of the ECU return situation. they all agreed that if i didn't sign anything giving up the original ecu, then i am in my rights to have the original ecu back. i know it was fried, and Hondata doesn't want to be responsible if i sell the fried ecu to someone and then you guys get it. in that case, wouldn't you guys have some kind of system that keeps track of the ecu's that come in for repair and/or damaged? what will stop you guys from fixing a fried one and making profit when i requested the ecu back? if i spent 20k for a car and the ecu came with it, am i still not the owner of every part including lugs/carpet/engine/ecu?

if a shop does an engine swap, do they have the right to keep the original? isn't this the same concept?

thanks :D

so i have had a crazy time with this car. good news is, it is FINALLY running. it ended up being a Cam Angle Sensor and the Crank Sensor.

would those sensors have fried my ECU? if so, please explain...

Faulty wiring can damage sensors and or the ecu.
