Help with Cal

Just thought I'd see if any of you could take a look at my Kal and help me out. I'm getting lean cut around 4500-6000 from what I can see and then again at 7500+ any help would be appreciated. The first file is my datalog of WOT in 3rd and the 2nd is the Kal.

Above 5700 rpm it looks like a misfire. It could be electrical, fuel related or mechanical. What engine/injectors/supercharger etc is this?

It's a Greddy Turbo k20a2, RC 750cc injectors, IPS KT1 Cams Thanks!

The very first thing to do is to pull the spark plugs out and check what type they are. If they are not stock then swap the stock plugs back in and do another datalog.

If that looks good then check the wiring where it passes between the turbo near the fire wall, and see if the copper conductors have hardened or broken. The heat from the turbo damages the wiring over time (some people have had to replace the engine harness). It really should have a ceramic / silicone / stainless heatshield behind the turbo.

The spark plugs are not stock they are ngk bk8r's and I don't have the stock plugs anymore. I checked the plugs and they look fine. I also checked the wiring behind the turbo and everything still looks good, I had the turbo coated plus the lines are all wrapped pretty good. The car was running better than it is now but when I tried to do some datalogging the KPRO would not allow me to download the current tune so I had to upload the old tune from a disk.

When datalogging should I include both a cruising datalog and another at WOT? Would this help you understand what is going on better?

OK here is another WOT RUN I did last night. IS it possible that the heat could have melted my Vtec assembly valve causing this to happen because after further inspection it looks pretty bad.

Ok after changes to my tune the problem persists. My question is now this. Could the software be corrupted or even the tune file? The reason I ask this is because prior to these problems my car and tune were running just fine with the exception of a fuel cut I was getting at 7800rpm. As I was attempting to datalog, the Kmanager software instructed me to update to the latest version otherwise it would not read my ecu. Once I dowloaded the updated Kmanager software and re-uploaded my tune the problems began. What can I do to revert back to the original ecu settings before the upgrade? Can I clear the ECU and reinstall the Kmanager software and then upload my tune?

HAve you tried clearing security and then uploading your calibration? After clearing security you should close the program and then reopen it to load the calibration.

Have you been reading the calibration out of the ecu? If so that could be part of the problem.

No I haven't been reading the calibration out of the ECU I just uploaded the saved file I had, but I will try what you've recommended. I will clear the security from the ECU close the Kmanager, Reopen it and then upload the calibration. I'll let you know if it works. Thanks!

So even though I am running boost and the other mods you think I should go back to the hotter stock plugs? I disconnected the battery pulled the plugs, checked the wires and everything seemed fine. I cleared the security on the ECU and then reuploaded the calibration and now the problem isn't as bad because it only happens at about 6k rpm now and then again I'll get cut and backfire at 7500 rpm.
