boost controller s300 obd1 pr4 help

i was reading the boost controller install on the s300 install softwre and it say that the pr4 ecu doesnt need to have any mods done to it so can someone please clear this up for me do i need to gt it chiped for the function to work and how do i go about hooking the controller up also cantnot find how to retard timming for boost where is this function on sman software thanks

This is true only of PR4 automatic ecus. Manual PR4s need to have the components added for boost control. Click on Edit, create boost tables. When asking multiple questions, please separate them into separte sentances so it is easier to understand what you are asking.
