boost controller help!

Post by hopupimports »

i just installed my greddy kit on my rsx-s, and i hooked the gm solenoid up to the k-pro for a boost controller. well, it works just fine, but when i turn the car off, my oil light, my window switch light, and the check engine light stay on. not all the way, just barely on. then if i unhook the solenoid, they turn off. has anybody had this problem, and how can i fix it? also, if i leave the dome light on, it will start flashing like its giving off a code. i have never heard of this before. this only happens when the car is completely off.

For a quick test unplug the solenoid. If the lights go out, then the solenoid is not connected to switched power.

What is happening is that the solenoid is supplying power to the rest of the dash when the ignition is out.

With the RSX there is a very good place to get switched power. In the under dash fuse box, check the exposed spade connectors with a multimeter, and find which one is switched ignition power. (Sorry, I have removed the turbo from our RSX so can't tell you which connector it is). Make a wire with a crimp on female connector, plug it in, and away you go.
