p06 ecu no vtec output

Post by Tech3 »

first time we are using a p06 ecu for b16 engine. we have tried all the outputs for vtec activation. inverted or not. 2 outputs with no relays and 4 with relays. vtec doesnt work with the outputs with no relays. with the outputs that require relays we got the vtec activated but it turns off about 700rpms later and check engine light on dtc 21. we suspect a software glich. please help with this.

Can you post the calibration and a datalog? Is this using the alternate VTEC output? (if so, disable the VTEC spool error check).

seems like it's just easier to convert the p06 to p28 and be done w/ it.

If you simply post the version of software you are using, we may be able to determine why you are having the problem and it may as simple to fix as downloading the newest version of software.
