choppy air/fuel...knocks

Post by RobGiordano »

Check it out, im a little worried about the high rpm knocks. Car is pretty much stock so I dont understand why im getting the knocks. I tried -2% ign in the knock areas and its still knocking. Also a/f seems a little choppy is that normal?

setup:

k24a1
stock header
ep3 manifold
exedy stage 2 clutch
rsx type s flywheel
cai

located in mass

What calibration did you start with?
What size injectors do you have?
Does this k24 have an oem a1 head?

When tuning ignition for knocks. you want to add or subtract ignition by 2 degrees, not 2%. Use the middle box at the control-J window and enter -2. If that's not enough, pull out another 2 degrees where needed.

Try this, cleaned it up a bit at vtec cross-over and added some fuel up top. The curve will never be exactly straight, as long as it's close for most driving conditions.
