I dont know if they officially support it, but one of our laptops works fine with Smanager and also RomEditor4 and Vista Ultimate.

All our software works with 32 bit versions of Windows Vista .

Our recommendation would be to still use XP, however, we recognise that most new laptops are now switching over to Vista.

64 bit versions of Vista are different in that unsigned driver drivers cannot be loaded, so our software will not work on Vista 64 bit. We'll let you know if there is a workaround for Vista x64.

There were no special updates for us... just plug and play...

32bit OS works just fine....

As for buying a new laptop. you should be fine most new laptop are going to come with vista. But don't worry 85% of laptops sold are 32bit, so you should run into no difficulties. The 64 bits are how ever gaining in popularity, but, they are usually the high end machines. But seriously tho I won't buy a 32 bit laptop yet anyways. Not that there's anything wrong with them. In fact they excel in many ways but of course as with many new steps in technology, Don't jump on the band wagon right away. there are still many bugs and little is compatible in the way of software. But I digress, Long story short as this is long than i intended. But sure to ask when you purchase you new computer.
