Car cuts out around 5k rpm's in boost only 1st & 2nd gea

My friends car cuts out around 5k rpm's just as the car starts to boost only 1st & 2nd gear. If you bring the car up past 5k rpm's with light throttle them stomp on it its ok. Basically if you launch the car it will cut out at 5k and falls on its face. Only does it in 1st and 2nd gear...... 3rd, 4th and 5th the car runs great? Any ideas please? Running 1000cc GM 3 bar built gst motor and the latest release of smanager. I do not have a datalog to show but any ideas you may have please share!!

maybe u r having a boost creep, whats your boost cut set at?

Boost cut is at 16lbs. We tried lowering the boost to 10lbs and its still the same. It really feels like a fuel cut when the car starts to go into boost it cuts right out
We tried another ECU tuned with Chrome and 440cc injectors at 10lbs and the car does not cut out!!
