datalog not working

Post by turbotypeR »

i have been having trouble getting my on-board datalog to work.i tried using it with engine parameters and it is hit or miss and usually only gets 2-3 seconds when it does work.so tonight i tried using a manual switch to turn it on and off and it will get a few seconds out of several seconds of the switch being on.for instance, i had the switch on for 20 seconds and got 6 seconds.i do see a red light coming on through the hole in the ecu the whole time the switch is on.what could be causing this?any suggestions?
btw-i read in the troubleshooting post to try and disable it and then delete the recordings and then try it again, but that didn't work

Do you have the laptop connected while you are using the on-board datalogging? Are you able to datalog normally using regualr datalogging via the laptop wiht on-board dataloggin disabled?

i had the datalog speed on 30hz and if i recorded 15 seconds,it would only get maybe 5 or 6. i changed it to 10hz and it worked perfect every time.if it was 15 seconds,it recorded 15 seconds.no matter if it was on-board datalogging or from the laptop.

Can you post the calibration and a datalog downloaded from the s300?
