The '05-'06 ECU uses a different processor than the earlier models and won't work period in any other car. You need an '02-'04 ECU, case closed.

WOW. People need to be clear in explaining their problems (without CAPS and coherent English). There are many variables into why something is not working. Leaving even minor details may not help fix the problem. Swaps also pose a different problem too.

We all don't like having downtime with our cars but patience. I know first hand.

i hope u r not referring to me and r actually referring to You449. i would say i am being pretty patient. 3 weeks of not having a car and having to ask for favors from friends/family to get me places gets a little tiresome. i know there are many variables into why my car did not start. i checked every possible variable that i could think of, i took it to a shop and had them look at it, and then i put my ecu into another car that has kpro and it still didn't work.

Actually I would say that the gist of his message was that in order for people on this forum and at Hondata to assist you with your problems, we need detailed information that we can all understand. You're not making any friends the way you're going.

to answer this question, that is exactly what i did. i was not sure how they wanted me to send it, so i filled out the form and mailed it with my ecu's... hopefully this helps. and just a side note, starting your own thread may get better responces instead of this one. since this issue is almost figured out, they may not check it as often because you are making the thread off topic...

hondata, spunkster or any other Hondata person.

i have a couple of questions. i sent off the 2 ecu's. 1 was the original and the other was the new one. i received today the one that was "new" and did not get the old one back. now, i was told that kpro was switched into the "new" one, but i did not get a phone call to tell me what the problem was. i would like to know what the problem was with the original ecu? was it actually fried? was it fine? what was the actual problem? i know the new ecu and switching kpro, if it wasn't damaged, would work. and i was also expecting to recieve both ecu's back. please get back to me... thanks

The old ecu was damaged and would not run. WE swaped the K-Pro to the new ecu and everythign was workign properly. We do not return damaged ecu's becuase they usually end up getting sold and then to someone we end up getting them back.
