I am asking because while driving my '06 Si hard last night my car suddenly lost all power and died. I cant get it to restart and I am at a loss as to what I should do. I want to take it to the dealer and have them look at it, but I am scared they may recognize the reflash and void my warranty. Is this the case? Just so you know, I didnt miss a shift and I didnt run it through any water.
Any input or advice on this issue is greatly appreciated.
i think my reflash went bad...
Sounds like a mechanical issue - get a leakdown done. The cylinder where you can't remove the spark plug will be where the valve dropped.
ECUs have two states: working perfectly or not working at all. The presence of a reflash does not alter the reliability of the ECU. The dealer may or may not detect the reflash, but in any case the Moss-Magnuson act covers the effect the reflash has on the warranty.
