long story short...i just got my car back after getting a k24 w/ k20a2 head installed...it has been running great, but last night i went to my car to go download the calibration and save it to my computer, and the normal boxes popped up warning you that downloading a calibration is not recommended...and then another box came up that said that the calibration that I just downloaded from my ecu was created using older software...well then i downloaded and saved the calibration that my tuner put on the car, I upped my idle a little and uploaded the changes to the ECU, and now the car wont start....
I called Hondata and they said that they believe that the calibration has been corrupted now because my tuner was using an older version of Kmanager, and since I had the newer version on my computer it caused the .kal to get corrupt....they told me to get the original .kal that my tuner created and have him email it to me and upload it to the ecu....well my tuner happens to be out of the country for 2 1/2 weeks and he has the original .kal on his laptop....
I was wondering if there was anyway to workaround this problem and possibly format the ecu, and then load the .kal on along with the updated Kmanager software? or is there anythign that I can do to the .kal that I downloaded off the ecu to get it to work and get my car started? Thanks in advance for any help.
the mods on the motor currently are K24 bottow w/ 12.5:1 CP Pistons/Cunningham 4340 Rods / K20a2 head w/ IPS K2s/Eibach EVS/RBC/IMG/CAI/DCRH/Stock Exhaust/Stock 310cc Injectors...(I have a custom SSR Step-header and a 3"cutout and 550cc injectors going in after I break in the motor.
please check the attachment for the .kal that my tuner made which I downloaded off the ecu.

I do not have access to another vehicle to try the ecu on here at school...are you thinking that it could be a hardware problem and the calibration is fine?Spunkster wrote:Have you tried the ecu in another vehicle? The calibration loads fine and appears to work normally on the bench.
