Datalog has no data

Post by rensoyka »

I have uploaded the 2005 cal (2006 rsx-s) and the upload was fine, but when I run a datalog idling in the garage, it says the IAT and ECT are both 32 degrees and the number never changes, the rest of the sensors register nothing at all. There is a CEL on, but I don't get any error codes. The frames run normally, but there is no data. What's up?

Can you clear security (online, tools, clear security) and try uploading a fresh calibration?

Did all that, cleared twice, uploaded 2005 cal, still no joy. I can see the red light flashing during datalogging, but the flashing/solid state never happens. The frames are still empty, CEL with no error codes, no speedometer. I'm also working with the dealer who I bought it from, was a new ECU.

I was looking at the ECU that my dealer provided for me, the serial number starts with 2054, is that right or does it have to start with 2068?

What dealer did you purchase this from? What is the complete serial number on the ecu or on the K-Pro board?

I am already working with the dealer to rectify the problem. I don't want to put them on the spot because they are interested in fixing me up. The part number is 37820-PRB-305, serial 2054-100178. Kpro board is 05002451.

That ecu was not prepared for an 05 RSX and that is only done by Hondata and may not have been installed correctly by the dealer.

Are you saying that the dealer used the wrong ECU or the wrong Kpro board?

I'm saying it's unknown since it was not done at Hondata as all 05/06 K-Pros must be.

Thanks for the input, I will pass this on to the dealer. Hopefully we can get this resolved this week, they are being very co-operative. It could be that they just used the wrong ECU by mistake.

I exchanged ECU's yesterday with the dealer for one with the proper Hondata and '05-'06 markings, all is good now. Nothing left but the work and fun of tuning. Thank you for the input.
