Another mil problem?

Post by rtype »

Am running a dc raceheader(decat) on my euro type r and can't get the mil to go out. Have tried disabling the 02 heater in the closed loop tab and disabled OBD11 this works for a minute or two then the mil comes back on. If I turn the ignition off and on it goes away and then comes back. If I turn the OBD11 on I get the usual error codes. I've tried clearing the ecu and reloading the .kal but no joy, it goes away in open loop but I dont want to leave it in open loop all the time. I have one possible theory which is I have lost the extender cable that runs to the back o2 sensor so have a loose o2 connector underneath the car and that might be affecting it?

Any ideas? :?

If you have the front o2 sensor then you should not need to run in open loop nor disable the o2 sensor heater. A good start would be to read the error code and use the manual to trouble shoot that code.

Fixed it. The problem was it wasn't showing any error codes with obd turned off but the mil light was still coming on. I found the connector that was missing and it was for the front o2 sensor not the back so plugged it in and the light went out.
