Why can't I change the end temperatures in the IAT comp. ???

Post by miro_gt »

as post says.

those go from -40 deg F, to 100 deg F, and I can't change them ... ?!?!

I can change the temperature values in the middle, but I can't change the end values, so am I limited to use temperatures from -40 to 100 F only ?

the lower end (-40F) is fine, but the upper end (100F) is not enough.

I've got no CELs what so ever, and I'm in the process of tunning right now.

.. and I guess those IATs are the reason why the cars runs fine in boost on 4th and 5th gear, but floods on 2nd gear at 6K RPM

please help

I forgot to mention that this is a GReddy 15G turbo with FMIC, stock injectors and fuel pump, running on a D16Z6.

the wideband sensor is mounted at the end of the down pipe, and shows correct values within 0.1:1 A/F

I'm running the last version of the SManager, and my IATs are in the range of 70 F - 140 F

Your calibration is corrupted. Try creatin ga new callibration by going to File, New. ECT correction should go from -40 to 302 and IAT correction should go from -40 to around 212. THe first and last fields are locked so that you cannot cause problems.

Please post your current calibration so I can take a look.

there is a bug in Smanager :
If (like me) you set Celcius in Smanager and you create a good calibration with ECT from -40 up to 150 celcius, save.
Now, you set Farenheit and open calibration, ECT values are from -40 and up to 150 Farenheit !! and if you upload this calibration, it works normal up to 150 Farenheit where ECT.c become -45% !!! because interpolation is at the end of the table and so no ECT.c are found so ECT.c default value is used : -45% !!! (little bug in the embedded code too default value should be 0% if ECT value is not found in the table)

It happens always when i send a calibration to a customer who have just installed the Smanager and not set Celcius.

thanks, but I already figured it out.

for my map I've used a stock P28 map, and I've modified that one, in which the IATs are from -40F to 100F (don't know why)

Now I used as a base a D16supercharged map, in which the IATs go from -40 to 212 F, and I modified that one with my maps, so I guess that solved the problem.

Also, I went ahead and found where those values are saved in the calibration file, so I was gonna modify those if the above didn't work, but everything went fine.

and the problem at 6K RPM was that I don't take my foot off completely from the clutch pedal while driving, and I've set my Full Throtle Shift at 6K, so ... you get the idea. I've turned that feature off now, instead of me learning to take my left foot completely off every time I drive, or going down there and moving the clutch switch further down the pedal way ..

----------------

anyways, what IATs are you guys getting?

mines are in the range of 70F - 130F. I let the car idle for 20 min, and the IATs went up to 160 F

and I've set -1% fuel for every 10 deg F increase in temperature.

So what do you have set ?
