HELP!!! NEWBIE: engine wont pass 2k rpms,

Post by yosh1rky »

so i just did my swap myself.. k24a4 in a 98 civic hb... type s tranny and engine harness.... started the car and all, got 2 codes, iat and the infamous p1166 o2 code... i fixed the iat and i disabled the o2 so both error codes are gone... now its like it wont let me pass 2k rpms.. ive read some threads and some ppl cant rev pass 4k cuz it goes in limp mode..but what about 2k?? im stumped on this one.. i drive down the road and right when it hits 2k, it cuts off... that happens in every gear.. ive gone 42mph on 6th gear, thats my top speed right now.. even on neutral, i cant hold it steady at any point after 2k, it would just drop and go up to where i have it, it wont stay at that point.... any help would be great guys, and its my bday, id really love to drive this car tonight.... ive done the crank sensor wire, its good, another dude said that when you are dataloggin on kpro, the tps should open when you step on the pedal.... mine doesnt.. could that be it??? oh and umm i am using the latest version of kmanager..

aim is yoshi1rky if you could help me out live... im almost always online...

If you TPS is not changing, then that is a problem that needs to be fixed before you do anything else.
