P0452 Check Engine Code

Post by Funkmobile »

I installed KPro, Injen CAI and a comptech shorty header (on a 2005 RSX Type S) on Saturday...it drove fine all day. Sunday morning I start the car and the check engine light is on..i immediately load KManager and it spits out code P0452 (Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Low Voltage).

Does anyone know whether this is one those "Kpro incompatiblity issues" or something I should get the dealer to look into?

I wrote down the code and cleared it from my ECU and immediately checked the service manual regarding this and one of the possibliities is a loose connection. I 've been driving the car all day since and it hasn't thrown that code out again.

First check that your gas cap is tight (3 or more clicks). If you get the error again, it is not going to harm anything. Call us and we'll run through so checks to see if it is the harness.

Checking the gas cap was one of the first things I did on Sunday.

The car spit out the same code again Monday morning. It's strange, it only happens when I first start the car in the morning and not anytime after that during the day.

I'll give you guys a call later this week.

Thanks!

Have you disabled OBDII? You should not get the error if OBDII is disabled.

Yes that worked....so the '05 Fuel Tank Sensor is incompatible with the '04 ECU?

I have the same problem with JDM Integra Type-R DC5, PRC ECU + K-Pro. Is there any work around for this issue? I keep using OBD-II because I have external device installed showing A/F ratio, ignition, etc.

Yes, swap the 02-04 EVAP system and wiring into the vehicle.

Disabling OBDII does not affect closed loop operation or scan tool datalogging.
