swtiching kpro

Post by shadowmd »

ok...well....this thread was about me http://hondata.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5688
now my question is...i already have a new ecu on the way..out of an 04 rsx-s...can i get a local shop to switch the kpro from one ecu to the other..?? they tune hondata and everything...so i am asking if it is simply to "cut" it out and re-solder(spelling) it in to the new ecu?? is as simple as that..?? i dont wanna ship it out cause i need my car and this shop said that they can do it in one day....

any input would be great...thanks!

Unless the dealer has been trained by us and has successfully installed many KPros, send it here. The soldering is not straight forward and it is easy to damage the ECU.

They are not authorized to install K-Pros. You will have to send both ecu's and the k-Pro to Hondata after obtaining an RMA to have it installed and tested.

Call for an RMA number, then you put the completed form with the ecu's when you send them.
