I'm going to upgrade my injectors and tune, when I get the money.
Can anyone provide me with a basemap that uses the stock 240cc injectors for now, on an LS/VTEC running 7psi of boost.
I used to have a Vortech FMU, but it went south, and now I'm looking to my S300 to take up the slack until I get the injectors and fuel components installed.
I'm running the b16greddy map that is in the calibrations file, and the car seems ok, but stays lean until about 2 to 3 psi of boost is built. Also, when VTEC engages, the car goes to crap, starts cutting out really bad.
When the FMU was working, I ran a stock p30 map, and the car ran perfect. Good A/F under boost, and VTEC. Can anyone help? Or do I just need to park the car for half a year, and wait till I can do it right?
On a side note, can I have the car tuned with the stock 240cc injectors? Would that be ok? Run the same 7psi and use the stock setup until I can afford the buildup? Seems to me that I can push the stock injectors to do what the FMU has been doing this whole time.
boosted map with stock injectors?
You have the hardware and software needed to make the changes. Someone else's basemap probably won't be any better. Make the changes to the map you have and I wouln't boost until you get properly tuned.
Also stock injectors will be maxed out under boost so this is another reason not to boost until you get the correct sized injectors and get tuned.

I realize that the stock injectors will be maxed out, but everything seemed to work just fine when using the Vortech FMU. I just need to be able to drive the car until I can afford to do it right. I mean, won't the stock injectors be good enough to run the car the same as it did with the Vortech? Seems to me like it should work just fine.
