Shift light

I hooked up a LED with resistor across pin A25 and A13. It works fine except that when the ignition is on, there is a dim light from the LED when no check engine light is present. Its as if there is a slight ground leak on pin A13. Is that possible? Pin A13 is grounded by the ECU when the check engine comes on only and should not have any ground otherwise. Any ideas how to prevent any dim light from LED?

Wire a resistor in parallel across the LED to reduce the current leak. Try around 1k at first.
