Lambda values not displaying on map @ low load...

Post by TurboLS »

They used to, but for some reason, when i upgraded to v120, i can only view the A/F at idle or low loads in "display" or "sensors". Is this some sensor overlay issue??

I am not able to reproduce this . Can you provide datalogs and calibrations?

I'll try to get that data tonight.

OK I have the datalog, exported CSV file, and the calibration is the stockP74 to avoid any parameter changes...Another thing I noticed is that the ECT never goes over 200F. Is that normal??

note that this is in my garage. when i'm on the road and i stop at a light after cruising, the idle can get as high as 17:1 and then it cools down and goes to 13:1 and then after a while it gets back to 14.7:1 - 15:1. How much variation should there be with temperature when a car is as tuned as it can get?? i should also mention that I have a spare virgin P75 ecu that runs the car decent without these problems. this leads me to believe that the hondata software/hardware is to blame.

thanks for saving me the trouble of recording a log, as for the temps mine will never go over 203, i guess u should be happy with that means u got a good cooling system.
As for af ratio hitting 17 u r prolly experiencing heatsoak, what kind of IAT do u get when that happens?

OK, I have a new revelation. Today, with the virgin P75, the idle went up to 17:1 while warming up and I occasionally hit 16:1 under load. This leads me to believe that maybe the Hondata thing is a coincidence. Here is my list of steps to solving the problem:

1.) Check vacuum @ idle
2.) Replace FPR
3.) Replace fuel filter
4.) Replace injectors
5.) Replace IAT, ECT sensors

It seems like a fuel delivery problem. Did I miss anything??

We've tested the lambda logging behaviour and it seems fine. What are your 'Sensor Overlay' settings for Lambda? Can you provide a datalog and calibration?

the datalog is above and the calibration is the stockp74 as stated. I will look at the sensor overlap settings tonight and get back to you. i also noticed that the stockp74 also has 8400RPM as a default redline...

Here is the calibration just for the hell of it. Here is a screenshot of my sensor overlay dialog box.

I need some clarification. Are you saying that the Display and Sensors windows do not display the AF under high load?

MAke sure when you post a question, you put the whole question in the message...do not put half the question in the topic. Notice how different this sounds if all you read is the question you posted in the message body:

"They used to, but for some reason, when i upgraded to v120, i can only view the A/F at idle or low loads in "display" or "sensors". Is this some sensor overlay issue??"

There was some confusion here over when the lambda was not displaying (this first post mentions 'low load' in the title and then 'can only view at low load' in the post). We think you meant that it does not show at low load.

Anyhow, the likely cause is the TPS going below zero percent and the display criteria not allowing a number smaller than zero to be entered. We've fixed this for the next release, but in the meantime, adjust the TPS so that it shows 1% at idle.
