Virtual Dashboard

Post by BB2H22 »

Will there ever be a virtual dashboard for the S300 comparable to the one that Honda Logger uses? I know you can pull different windows together to "make" one but I was just curious if you guys ever had any plans to put one together for the S300?

The only thing I've seen people do is compress each window. One being the dispay, the other being the sensors, then the tables.... Like you said, its VERY blan and not much to look at. I wouldn't think it would be that hard, all of the values are already there... I work for a software design company... I would get them to try it but its the 100 dollars an hour we charge that keeps me from it.

I think its only fair that we have something like this... after all, we paid the most for the product. :)

there was a thread about this exact topic a few months back. i dont think that there is a plan for a virtual dashboard since all the information, and more, that you need can be found on the sensors and graphs.

Thats exactly what I'm saying. All of the sensors are there, so why cant the just code it into a little more user friendly display... Again, I dont think it would be that hard.

I agree. I brought this up as well some many months ago. This would be a huge bonus feature. This would even be a great selling point for hondata. Someone really needs to do this. I myself have a onboard pc in my car with a touch screen monitor on my dash and this is what i've been waiting for. Hell this would even be a great way to replace all my gauges with monitors in my dash. Hondata all ready reads all the the required data, all it needs now is the graphical interface.

Update:

My company has been busy so we just started back up on it again. We have everything but a few small things working. My only problem is I dont know if this is breaking copyright laws if I distribute it. haha!

This idea of a virtual dashboard has 'steered' me away from adding additional gauges. I plan to put a touchscreen in my delSol. What is the status on this virtual dashboard?

funny i wanted to put a touchscreen in my del Sol as well lol =^_^=b but i doubt hondata cares about updating the s300 since everything has moved towards the K series. i would <3 a virtual dash.
