Upload Failed, car won't start

Post by Cap »

I have a 2004 RXS-S, completely stock, with K-Pro running the "K20A2 Stock Tuned" calibration.

While driving normally, the MIL light came on, and the car started running badly, as though it was in some sort of limp mode.

I connected my laptop to check the code, and was advised to update the software to 1.2.2.0, which I did. I then updated the USB drivers, and rebooted the laptop.

Now, BEFORE I turn on the ignition, the software indicates "Online, Ignition On." And I cannot upload any calibration. And the MIL error code does not display. And the car will no longer start.

I have tried "clear security." This has no effect. I have attempted to update the drivers several times, and this has no effect.

So, what's next? Can I send in the ECU and have you bench-test it? The unit was converted by the Tuning Factory in Farmington Hills, MI. Obviously, I need my car to run again ASAP.

I would suggest contacting Tuning Factory since they are the ones that did the ecu preparation. They will be able to test the ecu for you.

The Tuning Factory has determined that the K-Pro is defective. They have sent it to Hondata via overnight courier, and it should be there today. I have been told that Hondata can repair the unit and send it back to me so that it arrives tomorrow.

I need my car operational no later than Saturday. When you finish repairs on my K-Pro, would you please send it back using some method that assures me that I receive it by Saturday? Including a Saturday delivery, if necessary? Of course, I will pay whatever fees are required.

Thanks,
