smanager temporarily freezing computer(s) while opening

Post by ITR 1102 »

does smanager ever freeze your computer when opening it?
I do not think that mine started doing it until I saved / stored several skl files in a folder. if i try and open that folder going through Explorer, it is VERY slow as well. I am using 2 different new computers also. same hanging issue on both.

is there something about skl files that make it do this?
how do you guys store the different files without it affecting the performance?

i have the exact same problem. even using trying to open smanager on my gaming comp results in the same thing. whether opening smanager by the exe or through a file it hangs for a bit before it loads.

More computers as supplied from the vendor are almost unusable. If there are more than two icons on the bottom right of the screen (near the time), or more than 20 processes running in the task manager, then you have too many unnecessary programs running. Disable all anti-virus software, vendor supplied utilities, helper programs etc and try again. Use msconfig to selective disable the startup programs - very few are actually necessary.

I have only the bare minimum required programs running. I am no noob to computers. Both computers have at least a gig of memory and they are amd athlon 64, both over 2 ghz. The hardware is definately not an issue, and the only thing I have running in the sys trey is antivirus. and onl 21 processes running. I do not have any other programs that this happens on, only the smanager. i will try on a couple of my other computers and see what happens.
