VTC System Failure CEL

Hope someone can help...

I'm getting a VTC CEL every once and a while. When the cell comes on, the ecu seems to go into some sort of a limp mode. Any ideas? If I re-flash the calibration... its all good again.

What effect would unchecking the VTEC oil pressure switch have?

Any help would be appreciated.

Disabling vtec pressure is not going to help. You have either a mechanical problem or a wiring problem. I would suggest following the Helms manual to troubleshoot the error.
