Any chance s300 will have separate maps for each gear??

Post by TurboLS »

I know that Hondata has a gear based fuel trim. However, without being able to datalog the fuel and ignition map per gear, how are we to know what adjustments to make? It is possible to get these measurements with a mustang dyno, but i think hondata should be able to do this sort of thing.

I think you need to define the problem before investigating solutions. If the question is 'how do I determine what changes to make per gear' then it is possible to to do this on many dynos (dynopack can do it by varying run time), or by observation of the AF while driving.

I'll agree with you there. However, I would like to be able to concentrate on driving as opposed to watching the gauge and have hondata log all the info. I know I could go in and compare A/F vs. MAP vs. gear and visually check it, but a quantitative measurement would be better. Does hondata record gear information in the CSV file?? If so, I suppose I could compare those variables and make ball park adjustments.

Yes you can select gear to be displayed on the graph preferences. Then ooverlay it withwhat ever parameter you want.
