kmanager connection problems?

2004 Honda Civic Si (EP3)
K20a3 Ecu --> Kpro

-okay, when i purchased my ecu from a vendor they sent me the wrong the cd-rom (software), they sent me Smanager. So i never got a Kmanager cd-rom.

So i went ahead and used my friends laptop that already had Kmanager installed ( He has Kpro also)

-Now my friend is in school and there is now way i can get his laptop, so i decided to use my laptop and download the software off of Hondata.com.

-I downloaded the software, then when i hooked up the ecu to the laptop, the laptop had already found my ecu and i started downloading the USB drivers.

Then when it asked me to insert CD, i had no CD to insert... so it wouldnt download....

**so my question is...

-Do i have to have a Kmanager CD to allow to download the USB drivers to connect with ECU?

or is there another way around this to make it work?

You do not need the cd. Just point it to the directory where you intalled K-Manager.

If you go to Help, Contents, there are also detailed insturctions on how to do this.
