K-pro boost controller, I need help!

Post by abp-rsx-s »

I just bought the 3 way gm solenoid (#1997152) and connector (#12102747) for my GReddy turbo kit on a rsx-s. I'm just trying to figure out how to hook it up to my internal wastgate. On an external wastegate there's 2 ports on this internal wg there's an actautor with one nipple. I searched but not my GReddy users are using k-pro to controll their boost. I'm really looking forward to boost by gear :D
I also heard on clubrsx that with this solenoid the boost drops a bit (about 2psi) at higher rpms, is this true? Thanks in advance hondata!

We have not tested with an internal wastegate, but it should work.

What you are doing is using the solenoid as a variable pressure bleed. Connect the solenoid in the pressure line which runs to the wastegate. Note that the wastegate hose connects to end of the solenoid with the little foam filter and the manifold hose goes to the end with the single port. In KManager set the solenoid type to 'normally closed'. Make sure you set a boost limiter.

I recommend using pressure from the manifold, not the outlet of the turbo. Note that internal wastegates often signify a small turbo, so don't been surprised if the boost falls off at high rpm.
