IAT TA Sensor

Does the s300 need to IAT TA sensor installed in order for it to work properly? I've seen the sensor not installed in some fmu setups and the car still works.

It needs to be installed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the sensor that goes in the intake right?

Do I still need this sensor in a turbo setup.

The engine will not run correctly without an air temperature sensor. This is not optional. For a turbo put it between the intercooler and throttle body (OBDII), or in the stock location in the manifold (OBDI).
