One other question about this and i know this goes against the laws of wastegates, but: can i use this to tune the car per psi of boost instead of using compressed air to hold the wastegate open at various levels??

yes you can, once you work out the proper duty cycle for the different boost levels.

so even if the wastegate spring is at 6psi, I can tune for 1, 2, 3, etc. right?? Is there a duty cycle FAQ regarding this option that I can take a look at?? thanks again for the quick response.

No you cannot tune lower than what the spring is rated for, and there is no need to.

how good is the s300 in determining gear ? i love that the s300 can do this now since it saves me from buying a much more expensive EBC but i want it to be very accurate in knowing the gear. since its dor a drage racing car i cant have it work decently i need it to work almost 100% of the time

can anyone go into further detail on that aspect?

well even shifting at 2 or 3k the ecu knows on which gear i am, just get your laptop hooked to the ecu and check it.

The ECU determines gear by speed/rpm. As long as your speed sensor is working and you enter the correct gear ratios, the gear will update as you shift.

To calculate gear the ECU really needs to know the ratio of transmission input shaft speed to final drive speed. Tire size/diameter doesn't alter the calculation.

Really like this feature guys. How much will it cost to be sent to you to be worked on and for the solenoid? I'll pay shipping out, like usually, and you ship back I assume. Thanks again.
Learning about S300 of course.

The MoTeC part is generally only available from MoTeC, but the identical Delco part can be purchased from www.gmpartsdirect.com

Don't be put off by the wiring connector having a 'radiator part' description - it is the right part.
