Vtec problems on LS vtec moter

Post by flexxx »

Turns out I was dealing with two bad ecu's . Got a new one and now my car is code free. The problem now is that I dont have Vtec kicking on. I know the silionoid is good same with pressure swicth because I have a spare one . All electronic dianostic check out. Check moter oil and it's all good. All the vtec rockers move freely inside the head. I also know that my vtec silionoid gets power at 5600 rpm. Is there any way it could have something to do with the chip I have burt in relation to the map sensor. If I unplug the presure swicth engine light comes on but still have the same power so I'm sure vtec does not come on. Any help would be great.

Look at your datalogs and see if it is actually trying to switch into vtec.

It sounds like a Speed sensor issue. What vehicle are you doing this in?

I think it is a rare problem in the states but here in the PI sometimes problem comes from a bad oil filter. A lot ot fake oil filters. Be sure to use genuine honda or better.
