Error Code Help
been running the JRSC Race kit w/ JR Header and test pipe on my 05 Civic Si. i have the k-pro as well. i have kept the OBD2 disabled so i do not have a check engine light come on. the other day the light came on. the code that came up is [67-1 P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold]. now i know its detecting that i dont have a cat, but the primary o2 sensor is before the cat at the end of the header as far as i remember. now 2 days after the light came on, i was shifting into 3rd gear at around 4500-5000 rpm. the car bogged and almost stalled, then i had this loud pop from what sounded like under the seat area. apparently it was a backfire, cause i checked the exaust and have no leaks. the car is running fine, actually smoother than it ever has. but the same code keeps coming up now after about a day and a half of driving. the car is also running much more rich than it was before. just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this for me. thanks.
ps - sry forgot something. on the datalog it shows my O2 at 0 volts and O2C at -37 mA. yes i am stupid about this stuff and am trying to learn..lol. now to me it looks like my sensor is busted or not recieving any power.

bringing this thread back from the dead
I also have the same problem. I keep getting the code error P0420.? I also have the OBD2 disabled and it keeps coming on. I know it's detecting that I dont have a cat but it annoys the hell out of me.

I too am having them problem with the o2 sensor.
Code 41-1 DTC P1166 Kpro
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, I have a very weird problem. My primary o2 is getting the following code. I have run the diags in the book shreaded my car looking and all the tests pass. Then I have replaced the A/F relay and the o2 sensor not once but twice and still get the same thing. I have tested the wires all are in spec. My car only has 13K miles on it.
So WTF?
I know I don't have 3 dead new o2 sensors. Infact I'd be willing to bet they are all good.
I know this code happened after I updated the Kpro software and reloaded a new KAL. Then my engine light would come up even when I set readiness instantly. I have reloaded the CAL several times now with no luck.
So I am wondering if Kpro or the software has a problem. It's strange that my secondary 02 is reading voltage fine and works well.
The car seems to run great; although, it says it's running a 10:70 A/F ratio and that never changes.
I don't know if anyone has any ideas. I am at a loss I think I may contact Hondata to see if they know.

YEAH THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR. THAT'S WHAT THIS TOPIC WAS ABOUT ORIGINALLY. THANKS SPUNKSTERSpunkster wrote:You are combining a few completely separate issues and assuming they are all the same thing. This is not the case and we are only looking at the original issue which was posted of getting error P0420 while OBD2 is disabled.
