The ECU was tested before it left here, and should work in your car. Start with the basics - check the s300 is not inserted one pin off, check the green light comes on when you switch the ignition on and SManager says 'Online' when the ignition is switched on.

What are the chances that its just the laptop, should i try another laptop first? If i try another laptop i am going to need the directions to install the usb connections..

Huh? You're going to have to be more specific. What do you mean, install the usb connections? There is just one cord that goes from the s300 in your ECU to your USB connector on the laptop, nothing to it. If I remember right, I didn't need to install a driver or anything, my laptop recognized the S300 right away. SManager should recognize the S300 when you turn the car's ignition on.

I think it's possible it could be your laptop or the cord even (did test your cord too?).

yea you know when you first plug the usb in , it says new software found., thats what i ment. My cord ended up gettin the littlest kink in it and it was junk. Now im getting a connection and it says online but the red light is on, before i sent it out it had a green light, and the red would flash ..Now i set a calibration then try to upload and it will try to upload then it just stops and tells me to try again.. the ecu just came back from hondata and was tested before leaveing so i know it aint the ecu..

Did you check to make sure the S300 is inserted on the pins correctly? If so, then I would try a different laptop, with the latest version of SManager.

Finally,I got it working. Car runs the best on the B16greddy calibration. When i try to use other calibration the car will spudder whenn trying to boost out. im not trying to blow or melt another piston so ill just wait till i get it tuned.. i got some guy that tunes mustangs real good you think i should bring it to him or should i just drive a million miles to wangs in NH ... another question, the "updated"1-1-5 version whats so different between the version the the cd,ive been looking at them, but cant find anything different..thanks for your time

Wait, so what was the problem when you were trying to upload a calibration?

I know they fixed a few bugs in SManager recently, I don't know what else. There are probably patch notes for the software updates somewhere.

As for tuning, I don't know. Having to tune 2 fuel and timing maps might throw him for a loop, hehe.

My problem with uploading was when i hit upload it would start loading , when it got half way it would just stop and a window would come up and it said try again... i tryed another laptop and it solved the problem. that was after sending the ecu to hondata, they did a greaaat job and it was so worth it.. Recently ive been using someones calibration and the car screws but im having a problem with the map sensor.. i got the sensor plugged in the way it shows on the website but when i load the ecu with that map sensor on motec 3 bar the car wont run any ideas?>?????

Nope. I don't know much about map sensors.
