Throttle cable woes

I have eg1 with b16 swapped in with jrsc with 10bls pulley's,525 cc precision inj.,Gude head package with cams and throttle body and of course hondata s300.
Problem,when i put the sc on the throttle cable was too short.So I assumed it was because it was for 1.5 ltr.So i get a b16 throttle cable for a eg1 with a b16 stock from dealer and now the cable is aprox 3-4 inches too long.
What have i done wrong or what is wrong?

try customizing a bracket for it. i have a 75mm mustang throttle on my ls/vtec and i am still using the ls cable just modified a new bracket. let me know if it works.
