RSX type R valve springs

I have a 2003 RSX base five speed and I have Kpro because I bought a Type R manifold. Now I am going to buy type R cams and was wondering if my stock valve springs are fine to use.

Also do the type R cams even fit in a base rsx?

You cannot use Type R cams or Type S cams on a base model.

Is it because they won't fit in the base head, or is it something different like becuase ones a 5sp and the other a 6?

They will not fit that head. You must swap the entire head.
