Datalogging
When I first got my ECU I had no problems but the longer I've been datalogging the more this happens.
As of right now I plug in the USB to my laptop, run the smanager program begin datalogging and everything comes up and starts recording like it's suppose to and between 5 seconds to 20 seconds it stops logging, so I stop datalog, and restart and nothing, close smanager and reopen it and it still wont start up again, the only way I can get it back is if I unplug the USB and then plug it back in again. At this point I can datalog again but it stops after 5-20 seconds again and it wont come back unles I reseat the USB connector again.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing this and how I can fix it? I've already tryed reinstalling the USB drivers.

What ignition system are you using? Are you using resistor spark plugs?
What else has changed...laptop, wiring...installed parts on the car...work done on the car...etc??
Have you uploaded a calibration using that version of software? If you uploaded a calibraition using an older version of software and have nut reuploaded with the new version, dataloggin may be affected.

I actually think I might have resolved the problem.
I found that it's the external power for the laptop.
When I was deployed the power converter for my laptop broke and I had to take it apart over there and resolder some contacts, well in doing so I had to remove some EMI prevention in order to complete the task and it has affected any form of sensitive electronics ever since.
It seems whenever I plug the power converter into my car's inverter it generates EMI and eventually causes the USB to start generating errors.
Bad news is I've traded one problem for another, now I've got a problem with the A/C turning off when I'm going over 25MPH and over 2000 RPM (or at least it seems that way) and I know what you're thinking, goto the tab for the A/C and modify the RPM and throttle setting, I've already put the RPM for it to 12500 and the throttle to 99% and it still does it, so I'm kind of stumped right now.

loaded a new map like you suggested, it works fine if I'm not moving, but when I'm moving and the RPM goes over what looks like 1800-1900 then it shuts off the AC. the A/C light remains on, the datalog dosn't show the switch being acctuated, but I can feel a huge difference in air temperature between 1500 RPMs and 2100 RPMs. My old ECU didn't do this, I could drive all day and the A/C would never change unless I made it change.
Is there a way to just completly turn off this function? I don't really have a use for it being automated, if I'm actually concerned about losing that 5-10HP I shut off the AC myself.
I've attatched my datalog of my 15 minute drive home, maybe you can get somthing out of it.

I believe the problem is your water temperature....your car is overheating.
at the start of the datalog your car is at 206, then within 2 and a half minutes the water temp is up to 266. then by the end of the datalog you are at 278. I believe this may be some type of self preservation by your engine to make you tun off the ac and cool down you car.
Fix your overheating problem (or bad sensor) and then see if the problem persists.

the engine is a '95 JDM H22A, I think the sensor is different then the US or somthing, I'll further look into replacing the sensor, I havn't had any luck finding one that will fit though, I ordered an autometer water temp gauge about 6 months ago and it wouldn't fit, so I've been SOL on the water temp.
If you have any suggestions I'll research it and attempt to resolve it.

it wasn't the sensor, I think somehow in the engine swap somthing got messed up with wiring or whatever, I ended up having to install a resistor in series with the sensor in order for it to read correctly, AC dosn't kick off anymore and my car starts up without having to adjust the fuel maps in the morning.
Thanks
