wont rev past 2000rpm.

Post by s2000kid »

running a chipped p72 with hondata still on basemap getting ready to tune.
car hasnt been started in about two weeks, when I parked it it ran fine, now it wont run properly.

there is a check engine light code, conting six short flashes indiating a code 6-coolant temp sensor.

this code was not there when vehicle was parked.

Below 2000 rpm, it will run smoothly, right at 2000 rpm it will begin to pop and sputter and will not go above the said rpm.

i dont see how that code would make it run like shit but i might be wrong. I put one off my buddies car onto it, and rest the ecu, and the same code comes on.

is this what they call limp mode?

any help would be appreciated

Try reading the code using datalogging...it sounds like you have a more serious error code than ect.
