Kpro off line when start engine

I have a 2004 rsx type s with the original ecu kpro'ed. I got kpro at the end of december and had it tuned at a shop around pittsburgh. Now i am trying to use it also to record datalog to find out what my CEL is about. The tuning shop told me they experienced a problem that i am also experiencing now. With the lap top connected with the supplied usb cord it reads on line while the engine is off and ignition off, then on line for engine off ignition on. It will read the calibration on the ecu. Then once we start the engine, kpro goes offline basically instantaniously, this making it impossible to get any datalogging or the other functions of kpro so i need help with what is causing this problem and the fix for it.

Usual cause is non resistor spark plugs.
